About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Solution Architect to support a large-scale technology and cyber security transformation program.
Working closely with security, architecture, cloud, infrastructure, delivery and risk teams, you will be responsible for designing secure technology solutions, translating security requirements into practical outcomes, and ensuring security controls are embedded into major technology initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing security architecture, stakeholder engagement, governance and delivery within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and review secure solution designs for major technology initiatives.
- Develop security architecture artefacts, design patterns and architecture decision records.
- Translate security requirements, risks and controls into practical implementation guidance.
- Assess architecture risks, control gaps and remediation options.
- Support technology projects through security reviews, governance and assurance activities.
- Maintain architecture documentation, control mappings and audit-ready evidence.
- Work with delivery teams, cloud and infrastructure teams, risk, audit and external partners to ensure secure outcomes.
- Contribute to remediation programs, audit findings closure and cyber security uplift initiatives.
- Support architecture governance, reporting and stakeholder communications.
Skills & Experience
- 7+ years' experience in Security Architecture, Cyber Security, Solution Architecture or related disciplines.
- Proven experience designing secure solutions within large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of security architecture, risk management, governance and compliance.
- Experience supporting technology transformation, cloud migration or cyber security uplift programs.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern security technologies.
- Experience in financial services, insurance or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of APRA CPS 234, CPS 230 or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Azure, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel and Purview.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF or equivalent.
