Senior .NET Developer (WinForms / SQL Server)

The business continues to invest heavily in its technology platforms and is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join their core technology team and contribute to a range of business-critical projects.

Role Purpose:
This is a hands-on development role responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting internal business applications across the organisation.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, support teams, and technology colleagues to gather requirements, develop solutions, improve system performance, and maintain critical operational platforms. The position will also play a key role in modernising legacy applications and supporting the continued evolution of the broader technology landscape.

The role offers exposure across application development, ERP integrations, reporting solutions, database development, and system optimisation, making it well suited to someone who enjoys a varied technical environment and end-to-end ownership.

Technical Environment / Desired Experience:

• Strong commercial experience with .NET development (WinForms and/or Web applications)
• Strong SQL Server expertise, including SQL scripting, query optimisation, stored procedures, and database performance tuning
• Experience gathering requirements, preparing technical designs, and delivering end-to-end software solutions
• Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise business applications
• Exposure to ERP platforms and business-critical operational systems
• Experience modernising or migrating legacy applications (VB6 and/or VB.NET experience highly regarded)
• Experience developing reports using tools such as Crystal Reports or similar reporting platforms
• Experience building data import/export solutions and integrations with external systems
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support experience
• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as React would be advantageous
• Strong focus on code quality, documentation, maintainability, and continuous improvement
