Description

Our Government client is hiring for a highly motivated Banknote Operations - Operator role. This role is suited to a capable employee with factory or processing experience being deemed ideal but is also open to candidates with experience in case work, banking and fast-food environments. This is a chance to join a close-knit team for an initial 12 month long contract opportunity.

Role Title: Technical Operator - Cash Handling
Pay: $35-$40 + Super per hour
Location: Craigieburn (3064), Victoria. The role is located on-site for 5 days a week. Working hours are from 8am to 4pm.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that the processing, assessment, verification, destruction, storage and the control arrangements of banknotes are undertaken efficiently, in accordance with procedures and with minimal safety and security risk including:
  • Accepting responsibility for a quantity of banknotes and being accountable for the security of the banknotes from time of receipt to final handover
  • Manually counting banknotes
  • Operating high speed banknote processing equipment
  • Using manual handling equipment
  • Interacting with automation systems
  • Providing operational and administrative support; testing systems; and maintaining registers

  • Experience with using computer systems and applications to input data, generate reports and manage workflow
  • An appreciation of security issues surrounding handling banknotes
  • Experience in taking accountability for the secure and safe handling of goods will be highly regarded

Candidates must be based in/or around the Greater Craigieburn Area and able to work on-site at Craigieburn 5 days per week. Additionally, you must possess existing full working rights within Australia - Citizenship is required.
