Principal Technology Lead - Transformation & Modernisation | Leading Enterprise Organisation

Talenza is partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to recruit a Principal Technology Lead to play a key role in a large-scale transformation program involving platform integration, legacy modernisation, and enterprise technology uplift.

This is a unique opportunity to lead technical outcomes across a significant transformation initiative, combining migration, modernisation, architecture, engineering and delivery leadership. You'll work across multiple squads, partnering closely with Product, Engineering and Business stakeholders to shape technology direction and deliver long-term outcomes.

Location: Sydney | Hybrid
Salary: ~$235K package + bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across large-scale migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Align business priorities, product roadmaps and technology outcomes.
• Guide teams through complex integration and legacy transformation challenges.
• Drive improvements in engineering practices, automation, testing and CI/CD.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Ideal Background

• Experience leading complex migration, integration or transformation programs.
• Strong technical leadership across multiple squads or delivery teams.
• Background modernising legacy platforms in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, architecture and modern delivery practices.
• Ability to influence outcomes without formal people management responsibility.

This role would suit candidates currently operating as a Principal Engineer, Engineering Lead, Technical Lead, Technical Delivery Lead, Lead Architect, Platform Engineering Lead, Technology Transformation Lead or Senior Engineering Manager.
