Talenza have been engaged by an Australian financial services organisation to find a Linux Engineer to work across an infrastructure and security uplift project. The successful candidate will be a Linux engineer experienced in supporting a complex enterprise environment.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer/Systems Engineer supporting and administering enterprise Linux environments, ideally within Azure or other cloud-based infrastructure environments.
• Extensive experience with Linux administration, configuration, patching, troubleshooting and performance optimisation, across production and virtualised environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure infrastructure, including Linux virtual machines, networking, storage, compute and integration with wider enterprise infrastructure services.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using technologies such as Bash, Python, Ansible and Terraform, with experience automating Linux provisioning, configuration, patching and operational processes.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Linux security controls and vulnerability remediation, including OS hardening, patch management, configuration compliance, access controls and remediation of security findings.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and CI/CD tooling, including Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps or GitHub, to support consistent and automated infrastructure deployment.
• Strong enterprise support and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, work collaboratively with Cloud, Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams, manage competing priorities and operate within ITIL/Agile environments.
