Lead DevOps Engineer | Enterprise CI/CD Transformation | 6-Month Contract

We're partnering with a highly regarded enterprise organisation undertaking a major initiative to modernise and strengthen its software delivery ecosystem. As part of a program focused on reducing operational risk across critical CI/CD platforms, we're looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive technical direction, uplift engineering practices and lead delivery outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior technical leader who enjoys remaining hands-on while influencing strategy, architecture and DevOps maturity across a large-scale environment.

• Leading DevOps and CI/CD engineering initiatives across a critical enterprise program
• Driving automation, platform optimisation and software delivery improvements
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers across multiple teams
• Improving security, governance and operational resilience throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Designing and implementing scalable integration and deployment frameworks
• Collaborating with development, security and infrastructure teams to deliver best-practice engineering outcomes

• Proven experience in a Lead DevOps, Principal DevOps or Platform Engineering role
• Strong background building and optimising CI/CD pipelines in complex environments
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
• Expertise across DevOps tooling, automation frameworks and integration platforms
• Strong understanding of observability, monitoring and operational excellence
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive engineering best practices

• Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
