Solution Architect - 2 Year Max Term Contract (Melbourne)

We're partnering with a leading enterprise organisation in the healthcare space to find an experienced Solution Architect who enjoys turning business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.

In this role, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, engineers, and technical specialists to design solutions that are fit for purpose, secure, and aligned with long-term technology goals. You'll play a key role in shaping solution direction, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on collaboration-and influencing outcomes across both technology and business teams.

As the Solution Architect, you will:

• Design end-to-end technology solutions that meet business and operational needs
• Translate business requirements into clear, effective solution designs
• Produce architecture artefacts including documentation, diagrams, integration designs, and technical recommendations
• Assess and recommend technology options, considering benefits, risks, cost, and long-term sustainability
• Partner with engineers, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are understood and implemented successfully
• Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and maintainable
• Participate in architecture reviews and support sound technology decision-making
• Stay across emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement

You'll bring experience in architecture-focused roles such as Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Senior Engineer, plus:

• Proven experience designing enterprise technology solutions across one or more domains (applications, integration, cloud, infrastructure, data, SaaS)
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, interfaces, and modern architecture principles
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication skills-able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
• A collaborative approach with a track record of building strong relationships across teams
• Experience producing high-quality solution documentation and architecture artefacts

• Experience in complex and highly regulated environments like healthcare
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience with enterprise platforms, data solutions, integration technologies, or Microsoft 365
• Understanding of security-by-design principles and risk considerations
• Architecture and/or cloud certifications (TOGAF, Azure/AWS etc.)

• 2-year max term contract

• Work on meaningful, enterprise scale initiatives within a complex environment
